       Miss Sadie Casto attended the teachers’ meeting.
       Sunday school was organized at the Estella schoolhouse Sunday by Brother Rockwell. The following officers were chosen: J.R. Casto, superintendent; E.L. Ballinger, assistant superintendent; Birdie Ballinger, secretary; Mollie Casto, assistant secretary; Frank Young, treasurer. The teachers will be elected Sunday, April 3. Everybody invited.

       Mrs. Eva Casto was shopping in White Oak Monday morning.
       Miss Sadie Casto returned from Vinita Tuesday evening where she has been visiting relatives for the past few days.

       Hubert Hendricks spent Sunday night at the Casto home. He having sold his pony to Ethel Mitchell.
       Misses Sadie Casto and Versie Evans and Prof. Bell and John Babb attended the show in Vinita Thursday night.
Habert Hendricks met Sid Mitchell as he was coming to Casto’s Sunday and sold
his pony to Mr. Mitchell.
       Misses Bessie Sweatman, Eva Hart and Mabel Casto visited Miss Ethel Butler Sunday.
       Misses Nellie Casto and Elvia Littrell were in White Oak Sunday afternoon.
       Our school opened Monday with Prof. Bell and Miss Sadie Casto as teachers. The Professor had 15 enrolled and Miss Sadie 20 – a good attendance for such a rainy day.
       Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sheahan and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Casto were shopping in White Oak Monday afternoon.
       Misses Jessie and Beatrice Cox of Vinita visited Miss Gladys Casto a few days last week.
       Misses Lanna Cox and Janet Cooper visited Miss Sadie Casto Monday and Tuesday.

       Nellie Casto and Hubert Hendrix were married by Rev. Butler at the home of Mrs. Lula Hilderbrand Sunday.

9-28-1911       White Oak
       A little child of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Fields drank carbolic acid today and is in critical condition. They brought the child to Jim Casto’s house in order to meet a doctor from Vinita at once.
       Those who went to Vinita Saturday were Mrs. J.M. Butler, Mrs. Miles, Prof. Bell, Tom Jones, Jno. Casto, W.C. Hampton, Miss Sadie Casto, Mrs. L.B. Gordon and Mrs. Jno. Sweatmon.
       Another wedding. Miss Nellie Casto and Mr. Hubert Hendricks were united in marriage Sunday, Sept. 17, at the home of Mrs. Laura Hilderbrand, by Rev. Butler of Claremore. The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Casto and one of White Oak’s most popular young ladies, while the groom is a promising young farmer of the Couch vicinity. They will live on the farm near Couch school house. The young couple have our best wishes for a long and happy married life.
       Mr. and Mrs. Frank Casto visited Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Casto Wednesday.
       Gladys Casto was quite sick one day this week. It is the first time in three years Gladys has missed any school.
       Sadie Casto had to be absent from her room a part of the day Wednesday on account of the funeral. Ruby Poindexter took her place.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Casto visited their parents Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Casto Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Hendricks visited Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Casto Saturday night and Sunday.
Miss Hattie Rafferty visited Miss Maybel Casto Thursday night.
Mr. and Mrs. Porter Hale, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Hendricks, Miss Francis Rafferty, and Charlie Casto visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hayes Sunday.

       Those who visited at the Hampton home Sunday were L.B. Gordon and family, Jno. Sweatman and family, Dale Trotter and wife, Theo. Jones, wife and three children, Frank Casto and wife, Mrs. Jno Casto and son Geo., Miss Mell Snodgrass and Grandma Armstrong.
       Misses Sadie Casto and Mabel Beach and Messrs. Charlie Casto and Jno. Babb took in the foot ball game Sunday.

Those who spent the 4th in Vinita were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon, Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Sweatman and children, Miss Sadie Casto and Jno. Babb, Preston Smith and daughter, Melba, Ed Hayes and daughter Edna.
       Mrs. Jim Casto visited Mrs. Mat Fields Saturday.
       Mr. Jackson and family and Jno. Casto and family spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Allen Sunday.
       Misses Mabel and Sadie Casto called on Lula Hayes this evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Casto spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Cast Saturday.
Those who attended the basket dinner at Bluehawk Sunday were: Enoch Frazier and family, Jno. Casto and family, Frank Hayes and wife, Mrs. E.T. Hayes and daughter Edna, and A. Hampton. There was a large crowd.
       John Babb and Sadie Casto drove to Estella Sunday afternoon.
       Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cox, Mr. and Mrs. Haney Cox of Vinita came out to the Casto home Sunday afternoon in their automobile.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Casto are back at Jno. Casto’s. The new girl has been christened Augusta Irene.

       Miss Cleo Cox of Vinita is visiting at the Jim Casto home for a few days.

       Jno. Casto and family moved to Vinita yesterday where he will run a feed yard for T.D. Cox. Frank Casto and wife will live on their farm.

       Miss Sadie Casto drove to Estella Wednesday.

       Frank Casto and family of White Oak were visiting relatives here last Sunday.

       Frank Casto, Dale Trotter and Andy Hampton covered Mr. Hampton’s house Tuesday.

       The play given by the White Oak school Saturday night was, as usual, at White Oak, a grand success. Everyone had their parts just fine, Mr. Denawyer, as Uncle Jonas Aldridge deserves special mention. Also Miss Bessie Sweatman as Sue, the wolf child, Miss Helen Wood as Mrs. Beckie Aldridge and Maynard Rafferty as the negro servant, Pepper , presented their parts just perfect. There was a large crowd present, but the boxes didn’t sell very well. Proceeds not known by correspondent. Jno. Sweatman was auctioneer. Those present from other places were Mrs. Jno. Babb and Miss Hazel Holly of Catoosa, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Newcomb and Tom Fields of Alluwee, Miss Myrtle Hobbs and Bert Casto of Riggs Chapel, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hacker of Big Cabin, Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Cox and daughter, Misses Cleo Cox, Anetta Trotter and Elvia Littrell of Vinita, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Trotter of Nowata.
       Frank Casto’s grandfather, Mr. King of Missouri, is visiting him.
       Mr. and Mrs. Frank Casto, Grandpa King and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hayes called at the Hampton home Sunday.
       T.D. Cox and family and Miss Cleo Cox of Vinita, Mrs. Jno. Babb and Miss Hazel Holly of Catoosa, and Bert Casto and Miss Myrtle Hobbs of Riggs Chapel spent Saturday night and Sunday at the Jas. Casto home.
       Mrs. Jno. Babb and Miss Myrtle Hobbs called at the Dale Trotter home Sunday morning.

6-5-1913       White Oak
There was a large crowd out at the cemetery Friday to spend the day, clean and decorate the graves of our departed friends and loved ones. Dinner was served on the ground, talks were made and songs were sung. A committee was appointed for taking care of the graves for the following year, consisting of the following: Roe Rafferty, Chris Peterson, Len Gordon, Jno. Sweatman and Jess Butler. A program committee committee was also appointed, viz: J.M. Butler, Ethel Butler, Jim Casto, Miss Frances Rafferty, Mrs. Lizzie Miller, and Mrs. Lula Hayes. We expect to prepare a good program for the next Decoration day.
Last Friday while helping to load a boiler in the oil fields at Cushing, Ira Cox was killed by the boiler falling on him and breaking his neck. Deceased is a cousin of Mrs. Jim Casto and was one time a resident of this place. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his departure and other relatives in and around Vinita. The remains were brought to Vinita Sunday morning and interred in Fairview cemetery Sunday evening.
Jno. Sweatman and family took dinner at the Jno. Casto home Sunday.
Mrs. Jno Babb came up from Catoosa Sunday to attend the funeral of her cousin, the late Ira Cox.

       Mr. and Mrs. Frank Casto of Kelso visited relatives here Saturday night and Sunday.

       Fred Mounts is working at the W.C. Pope store now. Zeno Casto having resigned his position.

Mr. and Mrs. Matt Fields called on Mr. and Mrs. Jim Casto Monday.

1-17-1918       White Oak
J.R. Casto and Wm. Pope have been busy registering men and boys over 16 years of age, and women.
Miss Mabel Casto did not go to her school at Kelley Friday. Neither was there any school at White Oak, or at least Prof. Marsh did not undertake the trip of a mile and a half. The other teacher, Miss Roberson boards within ¼ mile of the school house.

12-18-1930       Dixon
       Mr. Glen Thompson and Miss Irene Casto visited Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lacey.
       Mrs. S. Welch helped Mrs. Casto quilt Friday afternoon.
       Those who were among the shoppers in Vinita, Saturday from our district were: Mr. and Mrs. Robertson, Mr. G.W. Ledgerwood and family, F.E. Lacey and wife an daughter, J.V. Motley and family, Floyd Lace and wife and little daughter, Verna H., W.F. Casto and family, Eight McDraugh and family.

       Miss Marie Casto was absent from school last week on account of sickness.
       Mr. Frank Casto and G.W. Ledgerwood were both serving on the jury at Vinita last week.

3-5-1931       Dixon
       Miss Iryne Casto is improving nicely after her long illness.
       Mrs. Frank Casto’s mother, Mrs. Souggin, of near Jay, and her sister, Grace Hilderbrand of Denver, Colo., left Saturday after a week’s visit with Mrs. Casto and family.
       Miss Ruth Lacey spent Sunday with Misses Marie and Iryne Casto.
       Mr. and Mrs. S. Welch called at the Casto home Sunday afternoon.

10-13-1932       Shanahan
       Mr. and Mrs. Frank Casto of north of town, spent Sunday at the Walker home.

3-2-1933       Dixon
       Miss Marie Casto spent the week end with her teacher, Miss Abi Smith.
