While searching for info on my ancestor Vincent - b1770, I was given some info from a fellow genforum user. She noted some references to the census of 1790 in Watertown, Conn. I looked it over and i have some questions that mabe some of you can answer!
There are three Castles living next to each other in the census report - they are John ( 1755 - 1813 ) Simeon and Eli. Eli looks to be the oldest. My ancestor - Vincent migrated to Poestenkill, NY by 1800 with two children. Thier names were John and Eli, a later born son was named Simeon. I am descended through Eli - b 1794.
Does anyone have info on the three Castles in Watertown?? I know that John was a son of Asahel and Deborah Allen. Could Eli and Simeon be brothers?? Where can I find info on the two sons living with John in 1790?? Thanks ahead for any help given!
