Hi Castles,
I recently found a piece of yellow, folded paper with faded ink in my grandparents' things, and it had some family tree information. I also found an old handwritten note from my grandfather with similar info. After searching online, these notes match up with some of the geneology data that has been gathered. I've not gotten into this stuff much in the past, but it sure has been interesting to learn a little about my roots!
Since I could not find anyone that's traced down this line, here's the detail I have. I believe Hezekiah was the son of Inman Castle b.1798.
* Hezekiah Castle (b. 1833), married Vina Grim [Lavinia Grimm per internet postings]
* Fleming Castle (b. 1861), son of Hezekiah, married Pricey Dials
Children of Fleming and Pricey:
* Julius Castle (b.2/19/1891 d.6/13/1947), m. 3/19/1920 to Ethel M. Alexander (b.1/11/1894 d.7/23/1976)
* Lawrence Castle (b.7/11/1893, d.8/11/1981)
* Leonard Castle (b.1895, d.?)
* Dora Castle (b.10/15/1898, d.?)
Children of Julius and Ethel:
* Lula M. Castle (b.12/12/1910, d.?), married name written as Goble
* Beulah Castle (b.12/17/1912, d.12/28/1996), married name written as Lemaster
* Malta Castle (b.1/18/1915, d.?), married name written as Watson
* Andrew Jackson Castle (b.1/19/1917, living), m.Freda Mae Smith (b.2/15/1922,living)
* William Earl Castle (b.1/27/1920, d.12/31/1920)
* Myrtle M. Castle (b.11/8/1921, d.12/13/1989), married name written as Hinchman
* Mary Evelyn Castle (b.2/11/1924, living), married Don B. Henry
* Imogene Castle (b.1/31/1926,d.?), married name written as Price
Julius and Ethel lived in Auxier, Kentucky.
My father was the son of Andy and Freda Castle, named James Andrew Castle (b.6/9/1944, d.11/23/2007).
