I am searching for the relatives of Reyes Castillo (1887) and Jose Castillo (1891?) They belong to a large family who lived in Castroville, LaCoste and San Antonio, Texas. My grandfather, Jose Castillo, was married to Genoveva Ortiz Castillo and he had a brother named Reyes Castillo who was married to Micaela Escobar Castillo. They had Cleotide, Juan, Francisco, and Antonio. Cleotide married Canuto Quiroz and had one son, Jose Quiroz. Four months later, Cleotide died of the Spanish flu and her baby son was given to Jose and Genoveva Castillo. Jose Quiroz was adopted legally and his name was changed to Jose Castillo. Years later, Jose and Genoveva adopted Antonio Castillo. Antonio opened a funeral home in San Antonio, Texas and named it Castillo Funeral Home. According to my sources, Reyes and Jose Castillo are related to Francisco Castillo who had 11 sons and 3 daughters. I have met with Agripino Castillo's son, Gilbert Castillo, and he has verified the links, but I cannot seem to get a firm connection to Reyes Castillo. If anybody knows of any links, please do not hesitate to write to me in the email supplied in this forum.
