Luis,
There might be a connection....maybe. I have many relatives in San Antonio & Lansing, MI. However, My great-grandfather came to the U.S. in the 1890s. I know for sure that he had family in Mexico that stayed in Mexico and a brother who accompanied him here to the U.S., but I do not know his name. Do you think that there might be a connection? Here is my previous posting.

Hi my name is Gilbert Castillo, Jr. I live in San Antonio, TX. My family has been in the San Antonio area for well over 100yrs. My great-grandfather Emilio was born in Spain in 1857 and lived in Mexico before coming to the U.S. in the late 1880s or 1890s. He was married to Isadora (maiden name Alire) and had 11 children; Emilio, Francisco (Pancho), Fabian, Gonzalo, Maria, Victoria, Agripino (my grandfather), Benita, Eva, Alphonso and Pedro. They lived in and around La Coste TX from at least 1900 (census records) til the 1930's. He died in San Antonio, TX in 1941 at the age of 84. My great-grandfather owned a grocery distribution trucking company but lost his fortune during the depression. Many of the sons scattered throughout Texas and one son Emilio Jr, ended up in Lansing Michigan. Let me know if I have any relatives out there, with such a large family, there is bound to someone out there related to me.
