My great grandmother was Mary (possible Mary Elizabeth) Castille or Castile. She was born around 1846 in Alabama. Her parents were also from the Alabama area from what I have found on a 1900 census. I have also been told Mississippi somewhere along the line. The Castile side of her family came to the U.S. from Spain...where or when I don't know. She married a George Holmes from the Alabama area. They moved to the Little Rock, AR area around 1870 and then on to south TX between 1881 and 1885. Anyone with any kind of information about her or her family...would appreciate you getting in touch with me.
