Castellanos in English is Castleman or Castlemen. As in coming from a Castle. Also coming from the Castillo region in Spain or from Italy. Perfect spanish is called Castellano, cause the first educated people came from the Castles. Castaneda comes from the Chestnut Growers in Spain or Chestnut Groves of Spain. I am related to the Castellanos from Sabinas Choahuila Mexico. My Uncles Nicolas and Gomecindo are sons of I believe Victoriano Castellanos. Glad to help.Juan
