josephcasteeljr.html indicates that the Joseph Casteel in the 1820 census of Monroe Co., KY I thought was the father of my Joseph Thomas Jefferson Casteel, Jr. who married Rhoda Miover in Warren Co., OH in 1828 with the consent of his widowed mother, Rachel Gudgel, moved to Jackson Co., TN according to the 1830, 1840 and 1850.
censuses. Later, my Joseph Thomas Jefferson Casteel moved to Putnam Co., IL.
My fall back position is to investigate another Joseph Casteel who was in Adair Co., KY in the 1810 census to see if he is my ancestor's father.
Does anyone have nay information on Joseph Casteel of Adair Co., KY?
