Cliff, I understand your confusion regarding all of the Joseph's. It is extremely tedious detective work and there is still much more to be done.However, most of us who researching this Joseph Sr. -who died in Russell co. Va in 1803, believe after much research, that our Joseph was born abt. 1729 to Edmund II, son of Edmund du Chastel (Casteel).

Isn't this wonderful, that we are all in search of our gggg grandparents generations later, using the internet?
