John, This is what I have on Issac CASTEEL.
Twins: Issac & Izana b. 14 Nov 1850 in Portsmouth,Greenup, KY.
Izana is my g-g-grandmother.
Parents: Issac Casteel b. 1826-28 in VA
m. Lucy Renfro b.1820-23 KY/ (source on parents 1860 & 1880 Ft.Scott, Bourbon, KS census)Lucy was a full blooded Cherokee, the Indian name of 'White Feather'.
1880 Ft. Scott census has Issac Jr. as a farmer married to Ann E. b. 1853 Ala./ sons: William b.1871 - Andrew b.1873 - Fredrick b.1879 all 3 b. in KS
A distant cousin told me Issac Jr was married to 'Liza'. It would be interesting if this is the same Issac, I have gone no further than 1880 in KS so he could have moved to another state. Cordy
