I suspected that I had Casteel ancestry
after visiting Bean's cove in Bedford
Co PA- and someone recently helped me
prove that suspicion: I thank you.
I wondered why the Spanish-sounding name;
then I read that Edmond Casteel-was a
descendant of a Dutch trader; and I also
remembered from history, that the Netherlands
was also a possession of Spain in the
late Middle ages.
