Shadrack Casteel (s/o Edmond Casteel & Rebecca ?)b: about 1736 at Prince George's Co, MD m: Laurena () and settled at Flintstone Creek, Bedford Co, PA. My wife's line is through son Thomas.

Shadrack's linage: Edmond Casteel & Rebecca (), Edmond Casteel & Johanna (), Edmond du Chastel de Blangerval & Christian Bonde.

Edmond was from Canterbury, England, believed to be from a family of Dutch traders. He signed a oath of allegiance to William Penn on 10 sep 1683. Settled in Philadelphia were he married Christian Bonde (believed to be a variation of Boone). Edmond was a Privateer and Captianed the sloop Resolution.
