According to information on file with yhe Pennsylvania Historical Society Shadrach Casteel son of Edmond Casteel 3rd left Prince Georges county Md. prior to 1770 and started a clan of Casteels in Bedford county starting with son Archibald, Thomas, Ezedock and Jesse. Any information on the descendents of these would be welcome. Have a good deal more information about the origins of the Casteel family to share...
