I'm not sure if I have the number of generations back but Susan CASTEEL is in my wife's line about 4 or 5 generations back. According to my file Alexander and Susan CASTEEL had a daughter, Elizabeth Jane born 23 Mar 1832 who married Hiram James Brown on 17 May 1853 in McMinn, Tn. She died on 26 Dec 1916 and he on 6 Aug 1881 in Buckheart Twp, Fulton County, Illinois. Their daughter Susan Clora BROWN born 1854 married Thomas HARPER from Liverpool, Illinois. He was born in Liverpool on 9 Jan 1849 and Susan died on 31 Oct 1922 and Thomas on 8 Jan 1917, both in Buckheart Twp. Thomas and Susan's daughter, Mary Eva HARPER born 28 Feb 1873 in Banner, Il married Robert Henry RILEA. Robert was born in Liverpool on 24 May 1868. He died in Liverpool on 22 Mar 1951 and Mary died 4 Sep 1934. Their daughter Clara Rilea, my wife's grandmother, was born 30 Mar 1893. She married John DUNCAN.
Is any of this of interest to you ? Who was Susan CASTEEL's mother. One write up I saw said she was part Cherokee Indian. Never been able to verify it.
