I really appreciate your follow up and any help that you might be able to supply. Israel Friend is found on the 1800 Maryland Sandy Creek census between Thomas Casteel & James McMullen. Rebecca says in later census in Missouri that she is from Maryland and Virginia and James McMullen is living in the same neighborhood. I believe that this is the break through on Rebecca that I have searched so long to find. I believe other Casteel's married McMullen's.
By 1802 Israel is in Ohio with children born there in 1802 & 1804, he is then found in Scott Co., Mo. where he and Rebecca raise their childre and live out their lives. I have lots of documentation on them & Rebecca's will.
