Here is what I have - would love to have more!!!James Frank Casteel b 7 Jan 1861 MD d 10 Feb 1920 of La Grippe and pneumonia. Buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, (I believe that is either in Swissvale or Braddock, PA). He was living on St. Lawrence Ave. when he died. married abt 1882 Mary Susan Knost b 27 Aug 1864 d 1919 of pneumonia also. She was a member of the Braddock English Lutheran church and Joppa Lodge No. 57, Order of the Eastern Star. She is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery also. ch: Margaret b 23 Jan 1885 married Charles Henry and lived in Homewood (is that a suburb of Pittsburgh?) PA. Anna Bell b 1885 d 1885 Emma Elizabeth b 1886 d 1889 George Harrison b 29 July 1888 married Martha ___ William Hagress b 27 Mar 1891 James Francis b 1893 d 1894 Ruth Naomi b 16 Mar 1897 married Alfred Clyde Beardslee d 12 Aug 1984 (My grandmother) "George and William wore white ruffled shirts every day when young. They opeorated the mechanical washing machine by one pushing and one pulling back and forth. Their father, James, was gone working on the railroad most of the time. They were left to their own devices and got into a lot of trouble. James quit the railroad once for farming but went back to the railroad. Fire burned the house down." as told by the daughter of Ruth Naomi Casteel Beardslee, Ruth Alice Beardslee Ambler. I have some pictures of James and Mary and many pictures documenting the life of my grandmother, Ruth. I also have pictures of Margaret, her husband, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her last letter to my grandmother. Margaret made quilts right up to her death. I have a note that says that she made 262 quilts in her lifetime. Unfortunately, I don't know where the note came from. I would really appreciate more info.
