MD by Jon Adams of 1961 I have a condensation of the family history published in the Boston Transcript,1938. It says Edmund Casteel II moved from Philadelphia to Piscataway Creek in Prince George's County MD. In 1713 he there surveyed "Casteel", 300 acres, which he patented December 10, 1715.
