Origins of CASTEEL name
Posted by: Don Casteel Date: January 19, 1999 at 13:48:11

This is an invitation to share any information that can shed light on the origins/ founder of the CASTEEL name. The only important thing is to always mention what source you are quoting when you come up with new information.
My starting point: An article series published in the Boston Evening Transcript under the pseudonym Toison dÓr on six cosecutive Sundays : May 14 thru July 2 1938. A copy should easily be available with tHE pENNSYLVANIA hISTORICAL sOCIETY ON lOCUST TREET, pHILADEPHIA. aQUIRE A COPY , READ IT - AND HELP ME IMPROVE ON THE CONTENTS - THE RESULT SHOULD BE A REMARKABLE FAMILY HISTORY IN THE END!!! tHE ARTICLE´S name is " CASTEEL or the du Chastel de Blangerval family in Flanders and America".
