Hi, I am searching for spouse of Lydia Evans(?) Casteel, she was in Madison Co., IA in the 1860 census with two children - John born 1850 in IA and Sarah (my great great grandmother) born in 1853. Sarah married Bluford Osburn in Madison Co. IA on February 16, 1868. Would you happen to know if the above family you are speaking of connects with my family.
I also found a marriage for Sarah Evans and Meshack Casteel in Madison County in 1849. I am thinking that Sarah and Lydia are sisters and married Casteel brothers??? Then Lydia named her first born daughter after her sister Sarah.
