Jo Ann, I don't know whether this will help but in the book The Casteel Family by Jean Casteel Brown XXII-i, page 357 Marriages of Nodaway County, MO. Nancy Casteel to Brice H. Alsbury, 29 Oct 1871. Jean has made the notation that "is is possible that Nancy Casteel, wife of James H. (Casteel) could have marr. a second time to Brice H. Alsbury. "The second child of Samuel Casteel and Nancy Cameron - James Harvey Casteel, b 10 April 1819, in Beaver Co., Penn; d 9 Mary 1871, Maryville, Nodaway Co., Mo; marr Nancy Jane McCreary 7 Dec 1842, Beaver Co. She was born 6 Sept 1824 in Beaver Co. d 10 Oct 1905 at Maryville. Abstract of will filed 29 April 1871, dated 30 Jan. 1871, Nodaway County, MO. Also listed as marriages are Clarissa Casteel to Preston Seafers 28 Dec 1870; Nancy Casteel to Robinson Craven 25 Dec 1875. There is a story about Robinson Craven and then this notation: on 25 Dec 1875, Mr. Craven was united in marriage with Nancy Casteel, daughter of James Harvey and Nancy (McCleary) Casteel, who was born on 17 May 1857.
