I am a CHARBONNET researcher, from a side view - my children's mother was Linda CHARBONNET and I have been compiling their lineage for on and off since 1983. I think I probably can tie in with the line this response is addressed to. I live in Louisiana and have just gotten back to the CHARBONNET family research after working other lines - whew - and it is very specialized as many of the records are in the original French. Please - anyone researching Louisiana CHARBONNET, LeMAIRE StAMANT, CASERIL please contact me. I have extensive CHARONNET info from a researcher who has taken the line back to Thiers France - and would like to share it. There is no CHARBONNET forum so I can't find other early New Orleans surname researchers.
