Hi Billy,
Wouldn't it be something if one day we could actually connect all these Cassins, or if we found ours were related!

Thanks so much for the info on the one who died in Buffalo. I don't remember seeing any Cassin families other than mine in Buffalo, so he might actually be related. I do know my John got married the first time in Milwaukee...

Sorry, right now I don't have any un-accounted for Johns or Richards, and I'm at a standstill too. I just know of (1)the John b. about 1823 in Ireland who came over, (2)his son John b. about 1855 At Sea on the way over, and and (3) that John's adopted son John. So far no Richards have shown up, but he did have five more brothers...

My grandmother always said her grandfather John came from County Mayo; but I now have two of his daughter's death certificates saying that he came from Kilkenny and his wife Mary Hickey came from Tipperary so I'm going to go
with that. I know he had a brother Thomas who came over, but finding the five brothers who didn't come (or came later?) is where I'm stuck. Haven't been able to find birth records for that time period in the area, which doesn't help.

In any event, I'll keep yours in mind and let you know if I find anything.

Thanks again,
Carol
