I am a Cassels living in SC. My gandfather, Angus William Cassels, was born in Ontario, Canada. My ggf, David -- married to Barbara Sutherland was born in Scotland as was my gggf, John -- married to Christain Kininmont.

In the late 1600s a James Kennedy apparently changed his family's name to Cassels. Thus a long history of Kennedies, Lords, Earls and etc.
My research takes the Cassels/Kennedy geneology back to Robert "the Bruce" and further yet to other Kings of Scotland and England.
