Dianne, we may be related away back but my Cassells came to Toronto around 1913. Isabelle had a tea room I believe. It's quite possible there may have been more Cassells already here and that may be why she came to Canada. She was brave enough to come here with all those children and no husband so I suspect she may have been coming to join family. My grandmother, Nellie Cassells married and moved to Winnipeg area. Her name was mistakenly spelled wrong on the death certificate (Castles) by my grandfather but reportedly was corrected by my aunt. Hope this helps.
