Jon,

I hope all this information was helpful.

I am always trying to connect any and all Cassidys to my Bridget "Red Pat" Cassidy b. 1838 of Coppenaghbane or Coppenabane, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan, Ireland. If your John Cassidy immigrated in 1852, he could be the brother or uncle of my Bridget Cassidy.

Bridget's father was Patick Cassidy and her brother was Patrick Cassidy. I found the brother and his family in the 1901 census in Coppenabane.

There are no Cassidys living on the land in Coppenabane right now. The land was sold to the Flanagans who also live in Coppenabane.

I would be interested to find out if he listed where he was born in his naturalization papers.

I did provide a lot of information that appears to show that these are your relatives back to 1852. Of course, documentation is needed to make sure this is the correct family.

Happy Hunting!!!

Charlene
