Elmer R. Cassidy, 84 years, passed away Jan. 4, 2008 at home in Palmyra, MO, with his beloved wife, Frances, at his side (married 64 years). Elmer was born Oct. 4, 1923 in Quincy, IL, the son of Clarence and Lela Cassidy. He was the owner and president of Jem Tool in Bensenville, IL for 46 years. Elmer was a resident of Rosemont, IL for 45 years, where he also served as a school board member and a deacon of his church. Survived by his wife, Frances; 10 daughters, and four sons, Sue (John) Cassidy, Kathryn (David) Lundquist, Wesley (Jane) Cassidy, Martha (Carey) Driver, Jonathan (Linda) Cassidy, Daniel Cassidy, David Cassidy, Karen (Alex) Nuzzo, Rebecca (Gary) Tillman, Frances (Frank) Titoni, Colleen (James) Benedetto, Nancy (John) Kopecky, Janine (Richard) DeCoste and Jullene (Steven) Cocozza, grandfather of 90; great-grandfather of 111 and great-great grandfather of two. Visitation Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, 6 to 8 p.m. at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel, 424 S. Main St., Palmyra, MO, 63461. Funeral Service Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God, 312 S. Bradley, Palymra, MO, 63461.
