I don't have a Thomas, but maybe we have some connection. I have several Cassidys in Philadelphia in the early 1800's. My Great-great-grandmother, Catherine “Kate” Cassidy was born in Philadelphia about 1853. Her parents were John Cassidy, born about 1819, died Feb. 3, 1853 in Philadelphia and Catherine McDonough, born 1825, died July 19, 1913 in Philadelphia. Catherine Cassidy married a Dentist, George W. Fine of Savannah Ga. They supposedly separated over the Civil War. After her husband died, Catherine Cassidy Fine worked in the Philadelphia Mint. I am interested in any information about her, her parents or how she met her husband. Catherine had at least one sister, Elizabeth Cassidy Clary, born Sept. 1852. Catherine died June 11, 1890 and is buried in Old Cathedral Cemetery, Philadelphia.
I have no information on John Cassidy's siblings or parents, so Thomas is a possibility.
