It sounds like you are a part of the Cassels/ Kassels line that came to Pennsylvania. I will post some of my notes when I was researching my Scot line and ran across yours.

There is also another Cassel family (spelled properly Kassel) that came from Kassel Germany. This caused me some confusion when I first started doing family research. The first family of German Kassels, that is, three brothers named Heinrich, Johannes, and Yillis or Julius Cassel arrived in this country from Kreisheim, in the Palatinate in the year of 1686. But these names of course Americanized would be Henry and John . It seems that William Penn went to Germany to convince groups of people to come to Pennsylvania to colonize. The Kassels were impressed by Penn and five years later moved to the new world seeking religious freedom. They are an old and noble family but I do not think they are connected to our family, unless they were originally Scotts that had previously went to Germany seeking freedom. The peerage and family history was found at the Sutro Library , Daly City, CA
