I know of Sandy's book - but do not have a copy of it. I had other distant Cantrell cousins who quoted information from it to me when I was looking for information on my Cantrell lines.
We are kin on the Cantrell side. I am a descendant of Thomas Cantrell and Elizabeth Norris through son Jacob. I did not have all of his siblings - only David and Mary. I will add your Sarah. My Cantrell line runs from Jacob to daughter Elizabeth Jane Cantrell who was my ggggrandmother and married James Jasper VanHooser. Their son James Washington VanHooser married Mary Isabelle Pitchford in MO and they moved to TX between 1899 and 1904.
Working on my Pitchford line is how I came across the Caskey's on the MO 1880 Census. I knew that my Aunt Ida had married a Hall whose mother was Nancy Caskey.
On the Census I saw that a Nancy C. Caskey (dau) lived next door to the Pitchfords... Not much of a leap to figure out that my Mary Isabelle Pitchford's oldest daughter (Ida Ellen VanHooser) married Nancy Caroline Caskey's son (Richard David Hall). This Caskey connection isn't my direct line but I work on all of the connecting branches for a more complete picture of the family. I am descendant of Ida's sister Minnie VanHooser who married a Caldwell.
I didn't realize that Mary A. wife of John D. Caskey was a Cantrell. I appreciate knowing that. If you are related to one Cantrell - you are related to all of them... HA! Just a bit hard sometimes to figure out which is which!
I would love to know more about the siblings for Thomas Cantrell and Elizabeth Norris. You can email me if you'd rather.
Thanks for responding!
