Henry and William Cashwell in the Revolution
Posted by: Rollin Golden (ID *****9763) Date: May 28, 2002 at 20:24:20

Henry and Wiliam Cashwell were sons of Peter and Catherine Cashwell of Amherst Co.,Va. They both were soldiers in the Revolution from what I gather.

Does anybody have further information about these two men and who their commanding officer was?

I also have an ancestor (William Hansard) that served in Amherst Co. in the Revolution. His application papers for pension state that his commanding officer was Capt. John Cottrell. I am trying to find confirming records elsewhere.

If anyone has any further information that might help...please write me.
