Looking for information about my 7th-great-grandparents William Cash and his Wife Elizabeth Skinner, their ancestors and decendents.
The information I have on my Cash line was provided to me by a Great Uncle.
This is what I know.
William Cash was born 1653 in Fife, Strathmingo Co., Scotland.
Died August 1708 in Westmoreland Co., VA
He apparently came to North America in 1673 on his Uncle William's ship the "Good Intent".
He married Elizabeth Skinner in 1699 in either Scotland or Mass.
Elizabeth was born bet. 1655 and 1657 in Scotland.
She died March 09, 1750 in Stafford Co., Virginia.
They had 8 children John Howard, Joseph, William (Jr), Anish Nancy, Thomas, James, Robert Howard, and Peter.
Since this information was provided to me, I have been trying to fill in the gaps.
Also, there are rumors in my family that there is Native American roots in the family as well. Does anyone know if there may be Native American Ancestry through the Cash side? If there is, I am guessing it is probably through one of the many women ancestors for whom I have no maiden names.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
