I'm looking for the parentage of William Cash (25 April 1740-23 Oct 1828) of Nantucket, Mass, who married Mary Johnson (27 Oct 1740-27 Jan 1819) in Nantucket on 25 May 1761. I suspect William was not born on Nantucket, although his birthdate is given in the published Nantucket VRs, of which a large part comes from a private genealogy that often refers to off-island events. Possibly he came from the Cape Cod Cash families descended from William of Salem, MA

Mary was the daughter of John Johnson (d. 25 Jan 1750) and Sarah Clark (b. 29 Aug 1707.)
