Cash, Holloway, Chewning, Chandler of GA
Jane married Miles Solomon Holloway, Sr.I have been given information that her father was a James Cash, am looking for proof of that. That her mother may have been a Lucy Campbell. More on Campbell below.
Jane & Miles Holloway named a dtr. Lucy Campbell Holloway who married William W. Chandler.Another dtr. Frances Marian Holloway married Hiram Bennett Chandler. These two Chandlers children of Ambrose Chandler and Jerusha White. Ambrose Chandler being the brother of my 3rd gr grandfather Linsey Chandler.
A third child, Miles Solomon Holloway, Jr. married Jaluca Jane Mabry my 4th great aunt.Mabry married Stallings and their dtr. Lydia Stallings married Asa G. Chandler son of Linsey Chandler/Matilda Sewell.
Then, I have Howard Cash and Sally Proffitt who were the parents of Saphronia Cash b. 22 May 1832, married to Thomas Edison Chewning (my 3rd gr uncle)lived and died in DeKalb Co., GA.
The other children I have for Howard and Sally Cash are Martha, Oliver Perry, Francis M. and Nancy Cash. Oliver Perry Cash b. 1830 GA, married Amanda Jane Cash, dtr. of George Washington Cash and Lucinda LNU.Believe to be first cousins.
Also have a widow Nancy Cash, of unk. Cash on the 1850 DeKalb County Ga. census Nancy is living in the household next to Howard Cash. She is age 75 born in Virginia and living in the household with her is Judah Moore age 31 a pauper. I'm sure she is related by marriage to Howard Cash, who was her husband.
Shelton Henry Campbell b. 22 Jul 1825 VA m. Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Chewning (my 3rd gr aunt and sister of Thomas Edison Chewning who married Saphronia Cash.)
I believe there were also some Patterson & Wright marriages amongst these Cashes.
Last but not least I believe some of these combination of marriages produced children who married into the Gabriel Smith, Sr. family whose second wife was Matilda Chandler (Carter)sister of Linsey & Ambrose Chandler.
All were in at one time or the other Franklin, Gwinnett, Carroll & Haralson Co., GA areas dating from the late 1700's right up to now.
Anyone with any info. on these families I would like to share notes.
