Ah, disregard. I have revisited some old info which sort of disproves what I had convinced myself of. Would still like to hear of any new info on John G. Cash and his dad Thomas. Where does the NC birth info come from re: Thomas Cash of Meigs Co.?
I decend from James "Monroe" Cash b. 1825-6 Roane/Rhea(Meigs) Co. TN border ....called the "Ten Mile". His Dad would have been William Cash b. ca. 1800 Washington Co. TN(a brother to Thomas?) who came into the Roane/Rhea(later Meigs) Co. area in 1824, died there 1830-1 as a young man. He came to this area along with James Ingo Cash b. 1801 Washington Co. TN(son of John D. Cash and Hannah Dosser who lived in Meigs c. while it was called Rhea, near Decatur). All these folks stem from James and Magaret Cash who settled in Washington Co. TN in 1787, previously had land in Granville Co. NC but were from VA. How's all that for confusing? So, at this point thinking that Thomas Cash and son John have to be tied into my group, but how?
