MD info as well as a couple other tidbits that I've copied and had passed on to me: Early family From Southern Maryland V 5, copied by Martin Cash of Oklahoma City, OK 7 Feb. 1729 James Cashe and Mary his wife of Westmoreland Co. VA appoints friend Benjamin Posey to lease tract Promise to Susannah Lomax CCLR M2.190 From, “Genealogical Gleanings from England” Penn State Library: Need Author…did not copy frontpage. pg. 119 Year: 1630 March 25, William Cashe[as he writes it] of St. Nicholas Olave, vintner, a bachelor aged about 26 years and at his own government, and Elizabeth Ellam of St. Peter Cornhill, maiden, aged 22, at her own dispose, as is attested by Thomas Wastell of the same parish, vintner; at the same parish church. Note: William above had a brother Thomas Cash in same volume….did not copy front page. From “The Complete Book of Emmigrants 1661-1699 ” Edited by Peter Wilson Coldham Year 1684 11 July pg. 465 The following apprenticed in London: William Ovendell, son of William O. of St. Olave, Southwark, Surrey, and John Cash, son of Thomas C. of Jamaica, planter, to Richard Heath, 7 years Maryland(LMWB13/470). From same series: Year 1724 Dec. 4th The following bound to William Cash of London, cheesemonger, to serve 4 years in St. Christopher's: Robert Neville of Portsmouth, Hampshire, carpenter age 25, William Redhead of Corbridge, Northumberland, carpenter aged 27(CLRO: ATSM/85) From Rigg Family website of David Rigg: On 7 Feb 1729/30 James and Mary Cashe of Westmoreland County, Virginia, gave their power of attorney to Benjamin Posey, Susannah's brother, to lease land in Charles Co., to Susannah. (COURT RECORDS, CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND, Book M, No. 2, p. 190) On 12 Feb 1729/30, Susannah leased the land from James and Mary Cashe. The document was signed by her brother, Benjamin Posey, and her future husband, John McNeill. (COURT RECORDS, CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND, Book M, No. 2, pp. 190-191) Note entry below from Charles Co., Maryland? Page 140 Charles County Court; Land Records, Volume I I Liber R, Page 432 1 Jul 1692; Indenture from William Cash and Rebeckah his wife of Westmoreland County, Virginia, to Henry Key, planter, for a certain sum of tobacco; 25 acres part of 100 acres called Dosey? Lane on possession of Thomas Maris at his decease, now in possession of Henry Key, land belonging to daus. of Thomas Maris; /s/ William Cash (Mark), Rebeckah Cash (Mark); wit.
