I don't think I have a descendant of this family, but I suspect I have a sister to your John T. Cash. Do you know who his parents were?
I have a Mary Ellen Cash who was born in AR in 1883. She married James F. Sheets about 1898 and were found in the 1900 Montgomery Co., AR census. She was born too late to find her with family in the 1880 census and married too young to find her with her parents in the 1900 census, so hoping you and I can help each other.
My reason for thinking Mary might be the sister of your John is that 1) they were both in the same part of AR, 2) they both report both parents born in AR, and 3) she named one of her sons William Gilford Sheets.
Do we have a connection?
