Searching for info on my Great grandfather, George Cash -wife's name Clara.
They had a son (my grandfather), Sam(uel?)Buck Cash born 1907, in Jefferson County, MO. Sam was known as Buck Sam Cash throughout his life, until he had to return to MO. to look in the family bible to find out his actual birthdate. At that time, he discovered that Buck was his middle name and Sam was his first name.
The family was involved in logging. One of George's brothers was killed by a falling tree.
George's mother was American Indian per Sam's wife, Dorothy Gertrude Sabloski Cash, born 1921 in Johnstown, PA.
Sam Buck Cash rode the rails in a freight car from Jefferson County, MO. to Detroit, Mi. during the great depression, where he met and married Dorothy.
Any info on Cash's in or from MO., and in particular Jefferson County, is greatly appreciated.
