Cash researchers hold that the name Cash came from "the lands of Cash(Casche)" in Fife, Strathmiglo, Scotland. Cash is believed to be a shortened form of Caschel(more anciently Caiseal), which is a gaelic term describing a castle or fortified structure. Wish I Knew more about your name and had more for you. Beware there is alot of misinformation out there in books which denote the origin of surnames, especially in regard to the name Cash. Best of luck, Chris Cash
