Irene:
I am not writing about Samuel Houston. I am interested in the William Lanier who married Lucy Lanier. My son-in-law descends from her and I descend from the Laniers too. Now her is my question:
Do you have any documents for her son Isham proving he is her son, census, wills, deeds, etc. Robert Laneir lists Wm Cash, son-in-law and two daughter of the his. Apparantly Lucy was deceased. I have the Lanier book that only lists two daughters for them.
Do you have documents to prove Isham married Nancy Mary Haley and their daughter Mary Jane Cash who md. Willis Annison. I have a copy of Clint Maxwell's book, but he doesn't have references of proof. Do you know anyone who can help me. I am trying to get my son-in-law in the Huguenot society. I can prove from Lucy on back with the Lanier book by Louise Ingersol.
