Do you know the names of any of the siblings who came over with your William? I have a Wiley Jenkins Casey b. 1802, and I think at least two of his brothers were Barnabus Pace Casey, who later migrated to Lamar Co., Texas, and Paris P. Casey. Suspect also a John A. Casey as a brother, and maybe more. Wiley settled in Cherokee Co., Alabama, and these others were there at some point. The family story was that Wiley and brothers "came over from Ireland in 1832" but lately from other evidence I've come to think it may have been his father or grandfather who emigrated, instead, and were in Georgia along the way. If you know the names of your ancestor's brothers, maybe it would establish a connection, or not...
