I guess I contributed to this problem. Another Hiram Casey descendant told me that his middle name was Daniel, that her info came from an old family Bible. So, when Frederick Thompson's new grave marker was being dedicated and it listed all of his and Nancy Coker's children, including space for their spouses, I paid to have Hiram's name engraved, using the info without having seen a copy of the Bible record. This was before David Sims found the Elisha Casey letter in the Rev. War record listing Daniel as a separate child. I guess someone took the info from the Thompson marker and started using it on the Net. Of course, some families have used names more than once, especially if it were a family name. You will note that wherever you see my queries, answers, etc., I do NOT include a middle name for Hiram.
