Thank you for your help.Do you know where Capt. Kasebeer was 'round about the time that his regiment was formed?I'm trying to figure how my Valentine Shook linked up with him ... perhaps that will help me figure out where Valentine was at that time.
FYI, my Amanda Shook was a grandaughter of Valentine Shook. She was born February 12, 1869 in Van Wert Co. OH.Looks like the dates were off a bit for the connection to my Valentine to be right .. but there were TONS of shooks in the PA/OH area then, and they all had about 10 kids each ... all with the same 10 names, it seems.
THanks, though, for putting on the track to David. If you have any more information on his migration, that would be helpful .. particularly around the time his regiment formed. It is called "ohio regiment" so I'm assuming it was from some region of OH.
