Not sure who died, you said "her", is this the same leonard case?

Leonard Case b. 1786 d. 1864 m. Elizabeth Gaylord
2 Children: William Case b. 1818 d. 1862 – 12th Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio
Leonard Case b. 1820 d. 1880 - Founded Case School of Applied Science, Cleveland,
Ohio. Later (1966) merger with Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio,
to forn Case Western Reserve University.
