Unidentified newspaper clipping from the estate of Helen E. Wier (1915-2000) who was the Town Historian of Ashland, Greene County, NY. Issue of Tuesday, September 24, 1985, is written in ink on the clipping. Mary Case CONESVILLE - Miss Mary Louise Case, 58, of Manorkill Road, Conesville [NY], died Tuesday, Sept. 17, at her residence. She was born May 26, 1927, in Gilboa [NY], the daughter of John Freeland and Florence Rosella (Lewis) Case. She was an area resident for most of her life. She attended District School No. 7, Conesville, and was a graduate of Gilboa-Conesville Central School. She worked for many years for Evangelist Jack Wyrtzen at his Word of Life Bible Camp at Schroon Lake, N.Y., and at Maplewood, N.J. She is survived by her father, John F. Case of Conesville; two sisters, Ruth L. Sutton of West Winfield [NY] and Ester L. Case of Conesville; a brother, Glenn L. Case of Sharon Springs [NY]; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Conesville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charlotte Jaroscsak, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. John Sherman, pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Grand Gorge [NY], and the Rev. Larry Hendricksen, former pastor of the Flat Creek Baptist Church. Burial was held in Gilboa Rural Cemetery.
