Spanish Casaus, family traces to around 1600
Greetings to all the Casaus around!
I hope I can help some of you to find a bit more about Casaus, at least those of spanish origin.
Although I donĀ“t carry the surname, my grandmother, mothersides, did. The Casaus family I descend from, was (and is) based mostly some 150 km. north of Zaragoza, Spain, mainly from the "villas" (as towns with special royal privileges are called in Spain) of Hadahuesca and Casvas.
My Casaus relatives there still hold a few houses and fields built around 1600 to 1700 which have always been in family ownership.
There are plenty of records concerning Casaus family (including emigration as e.g. to south america or the U.S.) in the local registries (alas, only in spanish and very few of them in the web...).
Regards
