The oldest Casas name that I know for Nuevo Leon is Bernabe de las Casas. His ranches were what are now the towns of Mina, Carmen, & Abasolo. All of these are located right outside Monterrey. There is a mueseum to him in Mina.

Bernabe was an officer with Juan de Onate who retook New Mexio for Spain.

Bernabe is one of my ancestors and I belive should be one of yours.
