My mother just found some paper work with some pertinent information that might help me dig deeper. Lillie Mae was born to Ola Dalton and Samuel H. Casada on March 3rd. She one of six children at the time of Ola Dalton's death which was on Lillie's Birthday in 1924. The obituary was from Anderson News Review under Honey Lake Notes. Ola Dalton was born in Wayne County Kentucky on July 26th 1890. Later moved to Anderson Missouri with Samuel and was a member of a baptist church there - I am assuming it was Anderson First Baptist as that was the church Samuel and Bertha were both members. I would love to know more about that side of the family. I heard through family talks that her side had Cherokee Indian bloodlines. I would like to search this out to see if it is true. Samuel Casada was Born April 7, 1919 in Kentucky. He was 84 when he died. The obituary was dated July 28, 1970. My Uncle made a note that he passed away on Ola's birthday of July 26th. He was a member of Anderson First Baptist Church of Anderson Missouri. A farmer by trade. His children were: Bob Casada of Harrisonville, MO Neil Casada of California, MO Grace Carlson of Pittsburg, KS Levina Barker of Southwest City Edna Potter, Hattiesburg, Miss 17 grandchildren 2 children passed prior to Ola's death and I assume Lillie passed prior to his death as she was not noted as a surving member. After Ola Died it appears that Samuel got re-married to Bertha Pearl. born Sept. 12, 1890 in Danville, Il. she moved to Anderson in 1930. She passed away on July 5th, 1968 - age 77. a member of Anderson First Baptist. Any help would be appreciated! Notify Administrator about this message?
