I am descended from the Cox family of VA. An ancestral grandfather, born in the first half of the 18th century and living in NC in the 1770s, was named Cary Cox, and according to some old records, his mother was referred to in the family as "Lady Cary". Is there any record of the VA/NC Cary/Carey family marrying a Cox?
