Tracy – Your Michael Cary (b. 1818 Henderson Co., TN) is my 5th cousin 4 times removed. He is the son of Thomas (b. 1793 Orange Co., NC - d 1850 Henderson Co., TN), the son of Samuel (b. 1774 Worcester Co., MD d 1818 Orange Co., NC), the son of William Sr. (b 1740 Worcester Co., MD), the son of Levin Sr. (b 1709 d 1783 Worcester Co., MD) the son of William Sr. (b 1668 Somerset Co., MD d 1734 Worcester Co., MD) the son of Thomas Cary the English Immigrant who migrated to Somerset Co., MD in 1666.

Your Franklin (Frank) Cary, son of Michael, was born in Carroll Co., TN in 1845. His daughter Malinda (Lindy, Linday) was born 6 July 1877 in Henderson Co., TN. She married Clem Davis who was born March 1873 in Mineral Springs, Howard Co., AR. Page 20A of the 1900 U.S. census shows they had a daughter Chloe born July 1899. Supposedly they also had Ethyl, Fay, and Henry Lee Davis, but I cannot confirm that. Franklin (Frank) Cary is also listed in the 1900 census of Mineral Springs. He appears with his wife Nancy and 6 of their children on page 10A.

Clem was the son of Levi B. and Lucetta Davis. Levi was born 1821 in North Carolina. Lucetta, Levi’s second wife, was born 1841 in Arkansas. She and Levi are listed on page 85C of the 1880 census of Mineral Springs, Howard Co., AR. Levi and Lydia, his first wife, are listed on page 264 of the 1850 census of McMinn Co., TN
