I am working on the genealogy of Nicholas Martiau who came to Virginia in the 1600s. I have the following:
1. Nicholas Martiau
2. Mary Martiau married John Scarisbrook
3, John Scarisbrook married Elizabeth Cary
4. Henry Scarisbrook married Martha Cary
5. Elizabeth Scarisbrook married William Langborne
and on down through the Langhornes
There seems to be some confusion in the Cary line. Can anyone straighten this out. This line was given to me by a great aunt and I don't know if it is right.
